The Lack of Choice

The most dramatic changes happen when you don’t have a choice. You don’t question your decision, you don’t postpone it, you act on it straight away, because, well… you don’t have a choice.

“I had to take care of my addiction because my partner would leave me otherwise. I didn’t really have a choice.”

“The doctor said I might die if I don’t lose weight and start exercising immediately. I didn’t really have a choice.”

“I had to change my habits because my boss said they’d fire me otherwise. I didn’t really have a choice.”

“I built a multi-million dollar business because I couldn’t find a job and I was completely broke. I didn’t really have a choice.”

But what if you don’t wait for things to escalate and proactively make a decision for the better? Sooner or later, you will be put on the spot, so it’s not like you have a choice right now anyway.
