On Giving and Following Advice

It is much easier to give advice than to follow advice.

Because when you’re giving advice, you’re not emotionally invested in the decision that needs to be made. Because you can’t experience the downside yourself. Because you can assess the situation objectively and even optimistically.

Still, give advice generously. And even more importantly, accept advice graciously.
