Don’t Cling On to Something That Isn’t Working

A rusty, old, yellow car in the tall grass.

As soon as you figure out that something isn’t working and that there’s nothing more you can learn from it, leave it behind and move on to the next thing.

Yes, sometimes it makes sense to give your best to fix it, but more often than not, it’s just delaying the inevitable. Make a clean cut.

That’s incredibly difficult, as it’s in our nature to attach to things, especially when we put a lot of time, effort, energy, and love into something.

Swallow your pride, draw out the conclusions you have to, and move on. It’s the only way forward, the only way to keep making progress, and the only way to reach your true potential.
