Create More Than You Consume

It is infinitely more important and useful for you and for everyone around you (note that everyone around you is the whole world) to create something than it is to consume something.

Don’t get me wrong, reading an article, tutorial or book, watching experts work and learning from them can be very valuable — and you should do it on a daily basis. But creating something has much more power.

When you start working on something you will be forced to think about different aspects that aren’t apparent when you’re passively learning.

If you streamline your thoughts, write them down, if you turn an idea into a project, book, poem or a house you won’t only learn more, but you’ll also get hands-on experience; and this has a real value not just for you, but for everyone around you as well.

So please, create as much as you can. We need your work and we need your art.
