The Difference Between Amateurs & Professionals

The only real difference between an amateur and a professional is the attitude.

The professional shows up on time, shows up every day regardless of the circumstances, regardless of their inspiration levels or the deadlines.

The amateur treats everything as optional. An amateur gets to work if and when they feel like it, if and when they’re blessed by the muse, if and when the deadline approaches.

And the results are aligned with their attitudes.

Adopt the attitude that serves you. It doesn’t need to be an attitude of a professional, but if you do adopt an amateur attitude, don’t expect different results.
