Don’t Think, Act

A person writing in a notebook.

When we’re thinking about our art, work, or projects, we usually put too much importance on things that could go sideways.

We worry about our plans that could fail. We’re stressed because we think something might not work, that we’ll never get the right opportunity, or simply that we won’t be lucky enough.

And this creates a mental overhead (or rather a block), making it difficult to start and take concrete steps.

But once we do start, it usually turns out that the obstacles and challenges are not nearly as real as we thought they would be. And we can get a lot further than it seemed we could while we were just thinking and dreaming.

Don’t delay, don’t think, and get to work. You’ll be surprised by the progress you’ll make.
